About Pyrolyse Danmark
Pyrolyse Danmark is an industry association for pyrolysis technology providers and operators in Denmark. The association was founded at a general meeting on February 27, 2024.
Pyrolysis Denmark's purpose is to contribute to creating a healthy and sustainable basis for Danish pyrolysis players.
Pyrolysis is an ancient and well-known technique that is increasingly necessary for the green transition and to meet the challenges of climate change.

What we work for
Pyrolyse Danmark works to promote healthy and sustainable conditions for pyrolysis operators in Denmark.
Although pyrolysis is an old and well-known technique, the introduction of a more industrialized and professionalized use of the technology is associated with several challenges throughout the value chain.
A number of pyrolysis players in Denmark are ready to roll out large-scale plants and production, but the framework conditions and legislation are inadequate and in many ways the legislation has not kept up with the technological development and the opportunities that pyrolysis offers. In other areas, there is no legislation or framework at all, because the climate effects of biochar still need to find their place in the ecosystem.
There is no doubt that pyrolysis can and must play a key role in addressing climate change. The technology is known. The technology works and can be scaled quickly.
But the framework conditions must be in place to ensure optimal conditions for a new Danish green position of strength.
Membership
Anyone with an interest in pyrolysis can become a member of Pyrolyse Danmark. There are two membership categories; Pyrolysis Actors and Associate Members.
